ISKRA 73-M and ISKRA 86-M mechanical firing heads are designed to initiate detonation chain of TCP jet perforating guns in oil and gas wells. They can be used in vertical and directional wells with the inclination angle not more than 45°.
The head has got mechanical initiating mechanism. The drop bar thrown down into the well actuates the head initiating mechanism. In order to avoid contamination of the head cavity before initiation it is recommended to use the head together with a sludge-trap or differential sub.
Specific Features:
- The head is initiated only by a drop bar;
- The head design provides easy assembly and reliable operation;
- Combination of the head and a differential sub provides underbalanced well completion;
- The head design is protected from accidental actuation by logging tools;
- The design is protected by RF patent.
