Scorpion® perforang guns with opposite-paired charge arrangement* are designed for TCP or wireline explosive-perforang operaons in all types of wells.
Innovave method of opposite-paired charge arrangement has been developed to reduce negave explosive-perforang effects on the well, to increase fluid influx compared with classical phasing opons and water-free well producon stage. This opon has the lowest blast effect on the well and does not break its support integrity. Wide range of charges and advantages of Scorpion perforang guns together with opposite-paired charge arrangement allow to considerably expand the range of current geological-engineering objecves. Opposite-paired charge arrangement with standard density is essenal for wells with weak cement support.
Specific Features and Advantages:
- Blast effect inside the gun body is reduced for minimum 20% (proved by testes for the guns with different ulmate stress);
- Blast load on the well support is reduced about twice, under the same condions;
- Formaon coverage and acve zone of each perforated channel are increased;
- Probability of behind-the-casing fluid migraon due to perforaon with subsequent water invasion is reduced;
- Resonance arising from sequenal actuaon of shaped charges is eliminated;
- Formaon compleon with the use of opposite-paired charge perforaon improves efficiency of further smulaon methods such as frac/gas dynamic fracturing
